What Is Unique Backlinks?

Unique backlinks is a term we invented to refer to the number of times unique domains link to unique pages on your website. For example if wikipedia.com had one link to your homepage and five links to your article on SEO, that counts as two "unique backlinks".

Many SEOs count linking domains which ignores the number of unique pages people link to. In the above example there is just one linking domain (wikipedia.com). We feel our unique backlinks metric is more useful and only a little more difficult to calculate.
